The Chapel Hill Panthers won the last time they faced the Creekside Seminoles, and things went their way on Friday too. Chapel Hill enjoyed a cozy 68-54 victory over Creekside. Given Chapel Hill's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 34th, while Creekside is ranked 398th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Creekside's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Daylen Jones, who scored 15 points, and Ahmare Mckenzie who scored eight points along with six rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Tim Gaulden, who scored seven points.
Chapel Hill has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season. As for Creekside, their loss was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-22.
Chapel Hill does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Creekside, they will head out on the road to face off against Villa Rica at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Creekside is facing Villa Rica at the right time seeing as Villa Rica is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
