As a matter of fact, that's the most points Fitzsimmons has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Zakia Shreeve, who scored 13 points along with four steals.
Montrose posted their biggest victory since December 7, 2023 on Tuesday. They took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 49-21 win over Glenwood Springs. The win made it back-to-back wins for Montrose.
Montrose's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Taygan Rocco, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds and two steals, and Maggie Legg, who scored 15 points along with five steals. Another player making a difference was Brooke Williams, who scored six points along with five rebounds.
Eagle Valley's victory bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Montrose, their victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-3.
Keep an eye on the arc in Saturday's contest: Eagle Valley have been dynamite from deep this season, having only made 30.7% of their threes per game. It's a different story for Montrose, though, as they've only made 34.3% of their threes per game this season. Given Eagle Valley's sizeable advantage in that area, Montrose will need to find a way to close that gap.
