Eastside is 8-2 against Angola since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Blazers will head out on the road to challenge the Hornets at 5:30 p.m.

Eastside managed to slip by Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Blazers lost 11-0 to the Braves on Friday. The game marked the first time this season in which the Blazers were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, Angola came into Thursday's contest having lost nine straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They were the clear victors by a 14-2 margin over Garrett on Thursday. The Hornets' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Jackson Steury was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with five RBI, three runs, and one double. He has become a key player for Angola: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 0-8 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Landon Leach, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs and one double.

Angola always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .622. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in four consecutive matchups.

Angola's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 2-9. As for Eastside, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 5-4 record.

Eastside took their win against Angola in their previous meeting last Wednesday by a conclusive 9-2 score. Do the Blazers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Hornets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
