The Northwood Timberwolves scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They breezed by University at home to the tune of 113-77. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Northwood has managed all season.
Zaid Yunis was his usual excellent self, scoring 29 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Justin Liu, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds.
Despite the loss, University still got an impressive performance from Andrew Bogard, who scored 19 points along with five assists and two blocks. Another player making a difference was Isaac Evans, who scored 17 points along with five assists and two steals.
Northwood's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-5. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.5 points per game. As for University, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-12.
Northwood will be playing in front of their home fans against Woodbridge at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. University's road trip will continue as they head out to face Irvine at 7:00 p.m. on January 10th. Hopefully Irvine focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Monday.
