While losing is never fun, Mountain Pointe can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 219th, while Williams Field is ranked 22nd).
Mountain Pointe's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Amiyah Dedrick, who scored 11 points along with two steals. Alexis Emerson-Berryhill was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and nine assists.

The team also got some help courtesy of Savanah Horotn, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Mountain Pointe's defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-24. As for Williams Field, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season.
