Football Recap: Fort Worth Christian Wins Going Away Against Second Baptist

Fort Worth Christian lost to Second Baptist back in September of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Cardinals put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 35-14 victory. The Cardinals' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Landon Gigliotta was nothing short of spectacular: he threw for 339 yards and four touchdowns while completing 75.9% of his passes. Those 339 passing yards gave him a new career-high. Kason Anding helped Gigliotta out on the ground, picking up 100 receiving yards and one score, while also rushing for 50 yards and one TD.

Fort Worth Christian has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 45.5 points this season. As for Second Baptist, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fort Worth Christian will host Trinity Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Second Baptist, they will welcome Episcopal School of Dallas at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
