Jackson-Reed's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aminyah Muhammed, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Muhammed has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sara Mesikir, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Cardozo, who are still winless after their fourth game. They were dealt a 53-5 loss at the hands of Anacostia last Wednesday. Cardozo was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-3.

Jackson-Reed skirted past Cardozo 2-0 when the teams last played back in December of 2022. The rematch might be a little tougher for Jackson-Reed since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
