The Northeast Metro RVT Knights scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They breezed by Notre Dame Cristo Rey at home to the tune of 70-38. That looming 70-38 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Northeast Metro RVT yet this season.
Northeast Metro RVT's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chris Zullo, who scored 15 points along with six assists and six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Zullo has scored all season. Kerry Jean was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 13 rebounds.
Northeast Metro RVT's win ended a 12-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-3. As for Notre Dame Cristo Rey, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 2-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northeast Metro RVT will take on Mystic Valley Regional at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Notre Dame Cristo Rey, they will be playing at home against Cristo Rey at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cristo Rey is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
