The Richmond Raiders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 23 points or more this season. They blew past South Mecklenburg 49-26. The win made it back-to-back wins for Richmond.
Richmond got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jamyia "Juicy" Lindsey out in front who scored 25 points along with nine rebounds. That makes it 13 consecutive games in which Lindsey has scored at least 25% of Richmond's points. Madisen Jackson was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with nine assists and nine rebounds.
Richmond is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for South Mecklenburg, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Richmond will face off against Union Pines at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Union Pines will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 271st, while Richmond is ranked 69th). South Mecklenburg's road trip will continue as they head out to face Ardrey Kell at 6:00 p.m. on January 9th. Ardrey Kell will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak alive.
