The Southeast of Saline Trojans posted their biggest victory yet this season on Thursday. They blew past Clay Center 60-35. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Southeast of Saline.
Owen Bailey was his usual excellent self, scoring 24 points. Connor Caselman was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with five rebounds.
Southeast of Saline has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-5 record this season. As for Clay Center, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southeast of Saline won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Ellsworth at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. Ellsworth is coming into the contest hot, having won their last six games. Clay Center won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Smoky Valley on January 26th. Smoky Valley will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings (they are ranked 227th, while Clay Center is ranked 99th).
