Softball Recap: Corona Wins Going Away Against Katella

Corona won against San Marino last Tuesday with 13 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Wednesday. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Katella Knights. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won seven matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Corona has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Katella, they now have a losing record of 6-7.

Looking ahead, Corona will be playing at home against Bloomington at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bruins have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.25 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Katella, they will head out to square off against Valencia at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. The game will give the Knights their first taste of in-conference action this season.
