Mohave Accelerated is 1-7 against Bagdad since October of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Patriots will host the Sultans at 7:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Mohave Accelerated sitting on four straight wins and Bagdad on five.
Mohave Accelerated's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They claimed a resounding 52-0 victory over Red Rock. That 52 point margin sets a new team best for the Patriots this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mohave Accelerated to victory, but perhaps none more so than Owen Honegger, who picked up 165 receiving yards and three touchdowns. With that strong performance, Honegger is now averaging an impressive 112.5 receiving yards per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Rylan Krahenbuhl, who threw for 208 yards and three TDs on only 13 passes.
Mohave Accelerated was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 238 rushing yards. They are a perfect 3-0 when they've run for more than 200 yards.
Meanwhile, Bagdad faced Desert Heights Prep in a battle between two of the state's top teams two weeks ago. The Sultans blew past the Yote 67-22. The Sultans' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Bagdad's win came from a few key players Mohave Accelerated will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Thomas Rodriguez, who rushed for 166 yards and four scores on only 11 carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 60 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Another player making a difference was Ezrah Aguilar, who threw for 172 yards and three touchdowns on only ten passes.
One reason for the win was Bagdad's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for six sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Rowdy Hooper and Aubrey Oland, who racked up five sacks between them.
Bagdad's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Mohave Accelerated, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.
Mohave Accelerated was dealt a bruising 62-0 defeat at the hands of Bagdad in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Aguilar, who threw for 253 yards and five TDs on only 17 passes, and also rushed for 40 yards and one score.
