The Lamar Raiders's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 46-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of Nanih Waiya.
Several Raiders players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Salone Elliott, who scored 12 points. Another player making a difference was Cooper Gordy, who scored ten points.
Lamar's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Nanih Waiya, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.
Lamar won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Victory Christian at 11:00 a.m. on December 29th. As for Nanih Waiya, they will be playing at home against McAdams at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. McAdams presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Nanih Waiya in Mississippi (McAdams is ranked 97th, while Nanih Waiya is ranked 209th).
