The Roncalli Royals can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 42-0 win over Indianapolis Shortridge. Roncalli's offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last three games.
Roncalli can attribute much of their success to Henry Adams, who rushed for 82 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Zach Dozier, who rushed for 34 yards and two touchdowns.
Roncalli's win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Indianapolis Shortridge, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 2-7.
Roncalli will face off against Mooresville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Indiana (Mooresville is ranked 63rd, while Roncalli is ranked 46th). Indianapolis Shortridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
