Softball Recap: Erath Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Erath won against Abbeville on Thursday with 17 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Bobcats were the clear victors by a 17-1 margin over the Lake Arthur Tigers. The Bobcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by nine runs or more this season.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Erath, bringing their record up to 8-8. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.8 runs over those games. As for Lake Arthur, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Coincidentally, Erath and Lake Arthur will both be playing Central Catholic the next time they take the field. The Bobcats will host the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Tigers will host them at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
