Archbishop Molloy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 212th in New York, while St. Thomas Aquinas is ranked fifth in Florida).
Last Tuesday, Archbishop Molloy ended up a good deal behind Xaverian and lost 56-38.
St. Thomas Aquinas has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 21 points or more this season. They breezed by Boyd Anderson at home to the tune of 67-33. Winning is a bit easier when you work as a team to rack up eight more assists than your opponent, as St. Thomas Aquinas did.
St. Thomas Aquinas' win on Wednesday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Drake (DJ) Sandi, who scored 12 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Clarence Westbrook Jr., who scored 13 points.
Archbishop Molloy's defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-2. As for St. Thomas Aquinas, their victory bumped their record up to 8-1.
