Clearfield (Pa.) extended its winning streak to five games with a 35-14 victory over
Central Mountain (Mill Hall, Pa.) on Saturday.The Bison were up 28-7 at the half after taking the lead on a
Tyler Stratton touchdown run in the first quarter.
Each side put up seven points during the third quarter, and the fourth quarter began with the margin still at 21.
Von Walker made a difference for the Wildcats. The senior running back ran for one touchdown. He has now scored nine touchdowns on the season.
Christian Lezzer was the top performer for Clearfield. The junior quarterback threw one touchdown and ran for three touchdowns. He has now scored 11 touchdowns on the season.
Last season's game between the teams resulted in a 35-19 win for CHS.
The defeat comes as a step back for Central Mountain, which notched a 50-14 victory over Bellefonte in its previous outing.
Clearfield (5-0) will play a Mountain game against Bellefonte next week, while Central Mountain (2-3) will take on Huntingdon in a non-conference game.
