The Tipton Christian Academy Eagles will head out to  challenge the Lakeland Preparatory Lions  at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday. Tipton Christian Academy has given up an average of 8.7  runs per game this season, but Monday's  game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Tipton Christian Academy is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 19  runs  on Thursday, they were much more limited against Halls  on Friday. They lost  12-2 to the Tigers. The Eagles' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

 Tipton Christian Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Neylan Walker, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-2. Walker is  on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as he's  now  snagged  at least one in each of the last four games he's  played.
Meanwhile, Lakeland Preparatory waltzed into their matchup  on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Wolves  a   13-0 shutout. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by ten  runs or more this season.
 Ryan Pitts was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He  kept things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits while striking out nine over four innings pitched. Those  nine  strikeouts gave  him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box,  going 1-for-2 with one  triple, two  RBI,  and one  run.
 In other batting news, Lakeland Preparatory got a  massive  performance out of  Jack McDaniel, who  scored three  runs and  stole two bases while going 3-for-3. Those  three  runs gave  McDaniel a new career-high.  Peeler Easton was another key player,  going 2-for-3 with two  runs, one  triple,  and one  RBI.
 Lakeland Preparatory was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .500. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a  batting average of .452 or higher in four consecutive  contests.
 Lakeland Preparatory's win was  their ninth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 13-2. The  home  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 13.7 runs over those games. As for Tipton Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 7-12.
 The batters for both teams will have to hit smart  on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Tipton Christian Academy has been retiring batters left and right this season,  having  averaged 6.8  strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Lakeland Preparatory struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 7.5  strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
