Softball Recap: Hahnville Now 7-1 over Last Eight Games

Hahnville barely beat Haynes Academy the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Tigers never let Haynes Academy get on the board and left with a 16-0 victory on Saturday. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 19 matches by six runs or more this season.

Hahnville is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.9 runs over those games. As for Haynes Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-7.

Coming up, Hahnville is taking a road trip to challenge Archbishop Chapelle at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Chipmunks' pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so the Tigers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Haynes Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Terrebonne at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Tigers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.7 runs per game on average), something Haynes Academy will no doubt try to take advantage of.
