Elkin has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in five consecutive pitching appearances. At bat,  Elkin  scored a  run while going 2-for-5, while  Mondi  scored a  run while going 2-for-5.
 In other batting news,  Madi Keirn and  Briar McClafferty did most of the damage at the plate:  Keirn  scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 3-for-4, while  McClafferty  scored a  run while going 2-for-4. Keirn is on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as she's  now  stolen  at least one in the last three games she's  played.  Aleya Talmadge was another key contributor,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
 West Shamokin's victory bumped their record up to 11-2. As for River Valley, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost three of their last four contests,  which put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record  this season.
 West Shamokin will have a chance to go back-to-back against River Valley: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
