After low-scoring totals in their previous three game, Becker brought some dynamite into their most recent contest. They put the hurt on the Zimmerman Thunder with a sharp 10-2 win on Thursday. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Thunder recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Isaac Guck and Alex Schermer made a splash no matter where they played. On the mound, Guck tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Schermer tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Guck has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. At bat, Guck got on base in two of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI, while Schermer went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Schermer also put up an RBI, which was his first of the season.

In other pitching news, Ethyn Cantin looked comfortable as he struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Gerad Hanle, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI. Jack Fischer also deserves some recognition as he scored his first runs of the season.

Becker picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 2-5. As for Zimmerman, they dropped their record down to 1-3 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
