The Randleman Tigers had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They secured a 47-41 W over Southwestern Randolph. The victory was all the more spectacular given Randleman's disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 267th, while Southwestern Randolph is ranked 72nd).
Randleman got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Audra Petty out in front who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 16 rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which Petty has scored at least 25% of Randleman's points. Another player making a difference was Kadie Green, who scored eight points along with seven steals.
Randleman has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. As for Southwestern Randolph, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-2.
Randleman will head out on the road to face off against Uwharrie Charter at 11:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Southwestern Randolph, they will be playing at home against Eastern Randolph at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Eastern Randolph is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
