Basketball Recap: Erie First Christian Academy Makes It Five in a Row at Home

Erie First Christian Academy had won four straight home games dating back to last season and Avery Collins did his part to make it five on Friday. Erie First Christian Academy simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Eisenhower Knights 85-57 thanks in part to Collins, who posted 28 points and eight boards. His evening made it 15 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Tyshaun Tate was another key player, putting up 12 points. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

Erie First Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.4 points per game. As for Eisenhower, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-5.

Erie First Christian Academy is taking a road trip to square off against Mercyhurst Prep at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Erie First Christian Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 contests -- so hopefully Mercyhurst Prep likes a good challenge. As for Eisenhower, they will be playing at home against Union City at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Eisenhower is facing Union City at the right time seeing as Union City is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
