Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Ursuline Academy). Everything went their way against the Landry Buccaneers on Tuesday as the Ursuline Academy Lions made off with  a  21-5 win.
 Chloe Guilbeau made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out seven batters over  three innings while giving up  three earned  (and two unearned) runs off only  two  hits. That's the most  strikeouts  she has posted since back in February of 2024. She was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 2-for-5 with two  runs, one  triple,  and one  stolen base. That  triple marked the first that  she  hit this season.
 In other batting news, Ursuline Academy let  Dixie Tatum and  Ava Gonzales run wild. Tatum  scored three  runs and  stole  Two bases. while  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances, while  Gonzales  scored three  runs and  stole  Three bases. while  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances. The dominant performance gave  Gonzales a new career-high in  runs. Another player making a difference was  Taylor Bellaci, who  scored three  runs and  stole  Two bases. while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances.
 Ursuline Academy  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .711. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
Ursuline Academy's victory bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Landry, they now  have a losing record of 1-2.
 Looking ahead, Ursuline Academy will look to defend their home field  on Wednesday against De La Salle  at 4:00  p.m. As for Landry, they will head out to  square off against Booker T. Washington  on Thursday.
