The Dallas Jesuit Rangers will take on the Guyer Wildcats at 7:18 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Dallas Jesuit sitting on three straight wins and Guyer on eight.
Dallas Jesuit is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They put the hurt on Lamar with a sharp 65-41 victory. The Rangers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Dallas Jesuit to victory, but perhaps none more so than Shane Parker, who rushed for 122 yards and a pair of TDs on only nine carries, and also picked up 39 receiving yards and one touchdown. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 70 yards. Beck Berry was another key passer, throwing for 293 yards and three touchdowns while completing 84.6% of his passes.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Dallas Jesuit was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 236 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Guyer got themselves on the board against Rock Hill on Friday, but Rock Hill never followed suit. They blew past the Blue Hawks 40-0. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 12th, while the Blue Hawks are ranked 308th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.
Guyer's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB 4.5 times. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece ( Logan Lokey also recorded half a sack). Paxton Wiliams got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Dallas Jesuit now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Guyer, their record is now 9-2.
Dallas Jesuit was taken down by Guyer 56-7 in their previous matchup back in November of 2021. Can the Rangers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
