The biggest upset of the week belonged to Northland, who took down 407th ranked East, 20-14.
Mifflin extended the longest winning streak in Columbus City - North this week by beating Centennial, 40-6. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
Brookhaven's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Kevin Greenhow threw for 110 and three touchdowns and Leitonn Backus had 90 yards receiving. On the ground Greenhow chipped in 77 yards. Clevis Towns helped Brookhaven's passing attack out by catching three balls for 24 yards.
The Bearcats' Greenhow and Backus have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Greenhow has thrown for 858 yards this season, while Backus, a 5-foot-8 receiver, has 15 catches for 306 yards. Maurice Hale from Beechcroft leads the league in rushing with 466 yards.
The Vikings moved up to 392 from 443 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Northland was able to make the jump by beating the Tigers 20-14.
