Sam Wells and D'Lance Sharp provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Pleasant Grove. The longest such play in 2A-1 Region II District 6 this season, the connection resulted in 76 yards.
Caddo Mills moved up to 822 from 881 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Foxes were able to move up by beating Community 20-14.
Sunnyvale's dynamic duo of Ryan Cottingame and Josh Quinn proved tough for Maypearl to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Cottingame threw for 297 yards and 3 touchdowns and Quinn had 157 yards receiving. Demetrius Gray helped Sunnyvale's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 61 yards.
Sunnyvale's dynamic duo of Cottingame and Quinn proved to be unstoppable against the Panthers, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.

Cottingame put up the best numbers through the air as John Settle's team defeated Maypearl.
Erik Richards was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 127 yards on 20 carries as Caddo Mills bested Gordon Jordan's team. Teammate David Chandler added to the ground attack by rushing for 83 yards.
Quinn was the best wideout in 2A-1 Region II District 6 this week as Sunnyvale topped the Panthers.
Sunnyvale's Cottingame and Quinn have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Cottingame has thrown for 1,175 yards this season, while Quinn, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has 24 catches for 459 yards. Steve Sumrow's team's Richards leads the league in rushing yards with 560.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Farmersville takes on Sunnyvale. The Farmers are in fifth place, while Sunnyvale is in first place.
Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, Sunnyvale beat Maypearl 44-21,. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
