Baseball Recap: Madison Central Beats Great Crossing for Their Third Straight Win

Madison Central extended their winning streak to three on Monday, bumping them up to 7-2. They walked away with a 12-7 victory over the Great Crossing Warhawks. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Indians also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2025.

Having lost for the first time this season, Great Crossing fell to 3-1. The loss was their first of the season.

For Great Crossing's part, Levi Hamon and Hayden Kirby stepped up to the plate in a big way. Hamon went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double, while Kirby went 3-for-4 with two runs and one double. That double was Hamon's first of the season. Another player making a difference was Landen Walters, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Madison Central will challenge Garrard County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Golden Lions' pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so the Indians' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Great Crossing, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Western Hills at 5:45 p.m. on April 14.
