Arp is 2-8 against Troup since March of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. Arp will be playing at home against Troup at 7:00 p.m. Arp has given up an average of 7.4 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Arp managed to slip by West Rusk the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Tigers came up short against the Raiders on Thursday, falling 15-4.

Arp got a good showing from Layton Shelburne, who pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Shelburne has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Arp saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Ponce, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.
Meanwhile, Troup entered their tilt with Sabine on Thursday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They never let the Cardinals get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. Considering the Tigers have won eight contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Troup let James Pierce and Logan Lockey run wild. Pierce went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI, while Lockey went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most runs Pierce has posted since back in May of 2024. Carter G also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Troup always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .586. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Troup's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-6. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Arp, their loss dropped their record down to 9-15-1.
