The Mountain Empire Redhawks suffered their biggest defeat since December 5, 2023 on Friday. They suffered a rough 53-30 loss at the hands of Bayfront Charter.
Several Redhawks players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Andrew Sepulveda, who scored eight points along with 11 rebounds and four blocks. Sepulveda hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Corey Vann, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and three blocks.
Mountain Empire's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Bayfront Charter, they pushed their record up to 11-4 with that victory, which was their 16th straight at home.
Mountain Empire will head out on the road to face off against San Diego Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bayfront Charter, they will be playing in front of their home fans against High Tech CV at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
