The Redbank Valley Bulldogs will head out on the road to take on the Allegheny-Clarion Valley Falcons at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Redbank Valley's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
On Monday, Redbank Valley was able to grind out a solid victory over Clarion Area, taking the game 56-49. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Redbank Valley has scored all season.
Redbank Valley got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Braylon Wagner out in front who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Clouse, who scored 13 points.
Meanwhile, Allegheny-Clarion Valley scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They walked away with a 77-68 win over Cranberry Area. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Redbank Valley's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-1. As for Allegheny-Clarion Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season.
Redbank Valley beat Allegheny-Clarion Valley 65-56 in their previous matchup back in January of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Redbank Valley since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
