Even though the Cleveland Blue Raiders scored an imposing 59 points on Tuesday, the Chattanooga Christian Chargers still came out on top. Chattanooga Christian walked away with a 69-59 win over Cleveland. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Chattanooga Christian.
Chattanooga Christian was led to victory by Kamora Moore and Aubriyana Camp. Moore scored 24 points, while Camp scored 35 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Camp has scored all season. Jaydah Rainey was another key contributor, scoring four points along with 13 rebounds.
Several Blue Raiders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tamiah Tanner, who scored 17 points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Lauren Hurst, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds.
Even though they lost, Cleveland were working as a unit and finished the game with 19 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Chattanooga Christian only racked up ten assists.
Chattanooga Christian's win bumped their record up to 16-8. As for Cleveland, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-8.
Chattanooga Christian will head out on the road to challenge Baylor at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Chattanooga Christian is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Baylor in Tennessee (Chattanooga Christian is ranked 47th, while Baylor is ranked 181st). As for Cleveland, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Rhea County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Cleveland is facing Rhea County at the right time seeing as Rhea County is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
