Talis Payne Goes Supernova in University Prep Win
Starting off the list is University Prep's Talis Payne, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Payne threw for 185 yards and four touchdowns, and also rushed for 90 yards and a pair of TDs on only nine carries.
University Prep's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. Coming up, Payne and the Panthers are taking a road trip to take on Fortuna at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Cooper Crye Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Anderson found a leader in Cooper Crye as the squad took down Los Molinos on Friday. Crye was excellent, throwing for 432 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 13.9 yards per attempt. He's now once again averaging 300+ passing yards (331.2) per game.
Anderson's win bumped their record up to 3-1. Crye and the Cubs will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Oroville at 7:30 p.m. on October 3.
