The Valley Christian Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They were outmatched by Drummond at home and fell 48-8. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Valley Christian in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now lost six in a row.
Drummond was led to victory by Remington Cline and Kimber Parsons. Cline scored 15 points along with five rebounds and three steals, while Parsons scored 15 points along with seven steals and five rebounds. Cline hasn't dropped below two steals for 13 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Lexi Nelson, who scored six points along with three steals.
Valley Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Drummond, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 12-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Valley Christian will square off against the Pirates at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Victor comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 21 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Drummond, they will head out on the road to take on the Lynx at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
