In what's become a running theme this season, the Guilford Vikings gave their fans yet another huge win on Saturday. They blew past Jefferson 59-31 at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Guilford has posted against Jefferson since January 21, 2020.
Jefferson lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Tamara Blackmon, who scored six points. Nariyah Gary was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Guilford's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-10. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.5 points per game. As for Jefferson, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-14 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Guilford will challenge Belvidere North at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Jefferson, they will head out on the road to square off against Stillman Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
