Cave Spring's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Blacksburg 12-0. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by six runs or more this season.

Cave Spring let Madison Steffen and Jocelyn Weddle run wild. Steffen fired off two home runs, three runs, and three RBI while going 2-for-2, while Weddle went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. Those two home runs gave Steffen a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison McDaniel, who went 1-for-2 with three runs.
Cave Spring hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are 10-1 when they post two or more strikeouts.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 12 runs the game before, Lord Botetourt was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They fell 5-1 to William Byrd.

Cave Spring's victory bumped their record up to 12-5. As for Lord Botetourt, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-10.
Monday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Cave Spring hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .370. However, it's not like Lord Botetourt struggles in that department as they've averaged .330. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
