The JAG Jaguars put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victor by a 70-49 margin over Park Crossing. Given JAG's advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 18th, while Park Crossing is ranked 117th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
JAG's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ladarius Givan, who scored 26 points along with nine rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Givan has scored at least 25% of JAG's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Friendly, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds.
JAG's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-0. As for Park Crossing, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. JAG will stay at home for another game and welcome Dothan at 7:00 p.m. on December 15th. Park Crossing will take on Percy Julian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Percy Julian's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five matches.
