The Sahuaro Cougars put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Desert View 65-5 on the road. Sahuaro might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won nine matchups by 27 points or more this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sahuaro to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ny'Anza Brown, who scored 15 points along with five steals. Those five steals set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Kristen Valdez, who scored 12 points.
Sahuaro's victory bumped their record up to 10-0. As for Desert View, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sahuaro will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Estrella Foothills at 5:00 p.m. on December 15th. Estrella Foothills has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 664 points over their last eight matches. Desert View and Sahuaro will face off at 7:00 p.m. on December 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
