Western Harnett was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight  defeat. They were a single  set away from ending the streak, but they lost  a   3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the West Johnston Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  3-0  back in September.
 Western Harnett took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 26-28, 25-17, 20-25, 25-23,  16-14.
 West Johnston's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Landis Williams led the charge by  getting nine  digs and one  assist.  Amaya Brayboy also deserves some recognition as  she  had her first  blocks of the season.
Western Harnett's loss dropped their record down to 2-18. As for West Johnston,  with the  victory, they broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 11-10.
