It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Westlake Christian Academy Eagles ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They secured a 58-53 W over Mooseheart. The win was just what Westlake Christian Academy needed coming off of a 63-38 loss in their prior matchup.
Westlake Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Asa Anderson led the charge by dropping a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Caleb Nieze, who scored 12 points along with seven assists and five rebounds.
When it comes to explaining why Mooseheart lost, one person who can't be blamed is Tolu Erinolu. Despite the final result, he scored 20 points. That was a full 37.7% of Mooseheart's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Bryan Lombo was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Westlake Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Mooseheart, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.
