Kiski School extended their losing streak to three on Wednesday, dropping them down to 2-3. They lost 13-4 to the Mercersburg Academy Storm. If the Cougars were looking for revenge after losing 8-7 to the Storm when the teams met back in May of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Kiski School saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyler Faust, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles, one stolen base, and one run. Faust is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Another was Tyler Hahn, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
As for Mercersburg Academy, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 2-8. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
On Mercersburg Academy's side, Andrew Cramer was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The dominant performance also gave Cramer a new career-high in strikeouts (four). He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
In other pitching news, Eli Hanna looked comfortable as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. Mercersburg Academy is 2-1 when Hanna allows two or fewer earned runs, but 0-7 otherwise.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Tyson Brown, who went a perfect 5-for-5 with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high. Landon Myers was another key player, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with four runs and one stolen base.
Looking ahead, Kiski School has the luxury of staying home for another game and will welcome River Valley at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Mercersburg Academy, they are on the road again on Saturday to play Hun at 1:00 p.m. The Raiders will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Storm surely won't give up without a fight.
