There's no place like home for the Ankeny Centennial Jaguars, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. Everything went their way against Liberty on Tuesday as Ankeny Centennial made off with a 70-48 victory. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 45-17.
Liberty's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Gage Kampman, who scored 8 points along with 10 rebounds and 4 blocks. Maddoc Coapstick was another key contributor, scoring 10 points.
Ankeny Centennial now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Liberty, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ankeny Centennial will take on Johnston at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Liberty, they will head out on the road to face off against Iowa City West at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
