Bradshaw Mountain is 10-0 against Mingus since January of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. Having just played yesterday, the Bradshaw Mountain Bears will get right back to it and host the Mingus Marauders at 7:00 p.m. on January 19th. Bradshaw Mountain will be strutting in after a win while Mingus will be coming in after a defeat.
Bradshaw Mountain posted their biggest win yet this season on Thursday. They put the hurt on Mohave with a sharp 54-30 win. Given Bradshaw Mountain's advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 83rd, while Mohave is ranked 254th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Mason Hunt continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 27 points along with nine rebounds and five steals. Hunt is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Preston Ranniker, who scored six points.
Meanwhile, Mingus' recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fifth straight loss. They suffered a rough 66-46 defeat at the hands of Coconino. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Mingus has suffered since December 27, 2023.
Bradshaw Mountain is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. As for Mingus, they bumped their record down to 7-13 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.
Bradshaw Mountain didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Mingus in their previous matchup on January 2nd, but they still walked away with a 56-50 victory.
