The Oak Ridge Trojans will square off against the Del Oro Golden Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Oak Ridge 1.6, Del Oro 1.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Oak Ridge gave up the first runs two weeks ago, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Granite Bay, sneaking past 3-1. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Grizzlies recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Ellison Schroeder spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Carly Short, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Molly Railey, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one RBI.
Meanwhile, Del Oro had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.9 runs) and they went ahead and made it nine on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Lions 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Golden Eagles have posted since March 4th.
Mikayla Finn looked comfortable as she tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits.
On the hitting side, Kate Brown 2026 was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March.
Oak Ridge pushed their record up to 15-1 with the victory, which was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.4 runs over those games. As for Del Oro, their record is now 20-1.
Oak Ridge was able to grind out a solid victory over Del Oro in their previous meeting back in March, winning 5-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
