The D'Hanis Cowboys scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They strolled past Brackett with points to spare, taking the game 66-50. The score was all tied up 23-23 at the break, but D'Hanis was the better team in the second half.
D'Hanis found their leader in underclassman Jackson Cross, who scored 23 points along with seven rebounds. Those 23 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabe Perez, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds.
The victory makes it two in a row for D'Hanis and bumps their season record up to 4-6. As for Brackett, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-4 record this season.
D'Hanis will take on Leakey in a holiday battle at 1:30 p.m. on Friday at. Brackett will be home for the holidays to greet Comstock at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
