Volleyball Recap: Braintree Extends Winning Streak to Four

Braintree had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Durfee Hilltoppers. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wamps also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Braintree never let Durfee on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-21, 26-24.

Leading Braintree to victory were Bella Tran and Joely Wang. Tran had eight digs, while Wang had 12 digs and three aces. That's the most digs Tran has posted since back in September of 2024.

They weren't the only good server: Braintree was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 11 aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Braintree's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Durfee, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Braintree wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Needham on the 9th. Durfee has also already played their next match (against Somerset Berkley Regional), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
