The Georgetown Royals entered their tilt with the Amesbury Redhawks with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Georgetown snuck past the Redhawks with a 40-36 win on Thursday. That's another feather in the cap for Georgetown, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Despite the defeat, Amesbury saw an underclassman step up: Celia Tavares scored ten points.
Georgetown's win was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.4 points per game. As for Amesbury, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.
Georgetown does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Amesbury will head out on the road to challenge the at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
