The Wakulla War Eagles will take on the Wewahitchka Gators at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The last three games Wakulla has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
Last Tuesday, Wakulla didn't have quite enough to beat North Bay Haven Academy and fell 7-6. That's two games in a row now that the War Eagles have lost by just one run.
Charley Butler put in work no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over 5.2 innings while giving up four earned runs off five hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with two RBI and one double. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high.
