The Devine Warhorses / Arabians will head out on the road to square off against the Somerset Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Devine will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
Devine came out on top against Jourdanton on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run first inning. The Warhorses / Arabians walked away with a 7-4 victory over the Indians/Squaws.
Devine got a great performance from Deryck Frazier as he tossed six innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Christian Beaver, who went 2-for-3 with five RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Karter Brown, who earned one RBI and two runs.
Somerset couldn't beat Pleasanton on Friday even though they stacked five runs on them in the fourth inning. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 9-8.
Eleazar Hernandez put in work no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed 5.2 innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. Hernandez was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one RBI.
In other batting news, Josiah Gonzales made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Gavin Martinez was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.
Somerset's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 10-10. As for Devine, their win bumped their record up to 12-6.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Devine has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.6 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Somerset struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.7 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Devine got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in April of 2025 against Somerset by a conclusive 12-5 score. Will the Warhorses / Arabians repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
