Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Gates County). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Bertie Falcons 64-4. The Red Barons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Gates County's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was London Barber, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten boards. The dominant performance also gave Barber a new career-high in assists (nine). Another player making a difference was Semayia Cross, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 steals.

Gates County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 29 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Gates County's victory was their ninth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-0. As for Bertie, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Gates County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 86-6 win against Tarboro on the 7th. As for Bertie, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 57-26 loss against Riverside-Martin on the 7th.
